Story by nun Alexia about her recovery after COVID

God’s love and prayer can do miracles: Nun Alexia’s story

May 28, 2020

The Coronavirus epidemic is no doubt a trying time not only to our physical health but also to our confidence, courage and hope. Staying calm, resisting fear and not falling into despair can be very hard when our life and health, and the life and health of our loved ones are under threat. The story of Nun Alexia is an inspiring example of how this can be done.
Before the epidemic, Nun Alexia was suffering from a host of chronic conditions. At times, they were so bad that she could not get out of bed. In fact, Mother Alexia had been bedridden for eight months. Taking monastic tonsure just recently inspired her a lot, but the epidemic did not spare her, and she became infected.
The danger to her health and her life was great but even greater was her trust in the Lord and His power to bring her to salvation. We were all praying for her recovery, the sisters and all of our friends. The struggle was hard, but she was never alone. Not only was she healed of her infection, but her other chronic conditions have also improved greatly. We join nun Alexia in sending our deep gratitude to the Lord for her recovery, and in giving our thanks to all the people who prayed for her health with us.
We invite you to watch and listen to Mother Alexia’s first-hand account of her situation, her recovery and the sources of her empowerment.
