In the tumultuous pre-revolutionary years of the Russian Orthodox Church, the Lord bestowed upon us a marvellous shepherd and a miracle worker. The light of his love continues to guide faithful souls towards salvation even today.
Today, we celebrate the memory of the right-believing saints Peter and Fevronia. They plead for God's mercy for those who bear the burdens of their spouse all their lives, in keeping with the teaching of our Lord. (Galatians 6: 2).
Today, we commemorate in prayer the great prophet Saint John the Baptist. He directed us towards Christ. He put his hand on Jesus' head and baptised Him in the river Jordan. With his repentance, St John called humanity to a new life.
