We draw our inspiration from the life and works of our patron saint, Grand Duchess Elizabeth. After the assassination of her husband, she went on to found a convent dedicated to ministering to the poor. She was martyred by the Bolsheviks.
The prototype of the Moscow myrrh-streaming icon of the Tsar-Martyr was painted in 1996 in California, by the icon painter Pavel Tikhomirov, commissioned by representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia.
We need to make radical changes to our lives. The change begins in our minds. No sinful thought should linger in the mind. We mustn't let the thought of sin enter because it will reach our hearts and poison our very lives once we let it in.
